Your Will instructs how you wish to distribute your assets after your death and is an important document. If no one can find your Will then your wishes cannot be carried out.

So, to avoid uncertainty after your death as to the whereabouts of your Will or even whether you have made a Will, you can safely store your original Will in a safe place with the Australian Will Register™. Your Will is securely stored by us in a place where you can safely tell your personal representative and your loved ones where they will find the original Will.

The Australian Will Register™ has fireproof safes that hold all our clients’ original documents and these safes are located in secure premises able to be accessed by Australian Will Register™ staff only.

Your Will also will be scanned and registered with the Australian Will Register™ after which it will be accessible to you at any time with a secure login and individual cryptic coding (encryption) of your digital copy of your Will making access safe and secure.

The digital copy of your Will is watermarked for added security and can be reproduced on any printed copy certifying the copy to be a true image of the original Will.

You can also store and register your Enduring Powers of Attorney, Policies of Insurance, Trust Deeds, details of your Superfund, Share certificates and any other important documents. See the Terms and Conditions of Supply regarding the terms of safe custody.

You will be given a secure login which should not be shared. You only need to email the Australian Will Register™ at [email protected] identifying yourself with your full name, date of birth, return address, email address and telephone number and your password advising how you want the documents to be made available ie. delivery by courier, tracked post, hand delivery from our safe custody. You will also need to provide your Verification of Identity registered documents.

When registering your Will (or other important documents), you will tell us who you wish to authorise access to your Will after your death. The Australian Will Register™ will release your Will (or other important documents) when it receives a death certificate from your personal representative, and Verification of Identity (or VOI) of the person seeking access to your Will.
